Sometimes, when I come up with a really good character, I like to put him in multiple stories. It's easy to mold him into whatever storyline I want.

This one in particular. He calls himself Deimos, though it's not his true name. He's an extremely powerful sorcerer, who interferes with the lives of people who catch his fancy (like the heroes of animes and cartoons). No one's ever quite sure what his goals are; sometimes he brings people together, and sometimes he tears them apart. Sometimes he offers people power, but when they accept, there's always a consequence later on.

Quote/speech: "When I was a child, I wasn't allowed to live the way I wanted. Always the greater powers of the universe said that I had to follow the rules. The unfairness of it all infuriated me. So I decided to fight back. I dedicated my life to gaining enough power so that I could finally do whatever I wanted, no matter what anyone else said."

"For a lifetime, I slaved away under the greater powers rule, slowly gaining strength through years of effort and study. Finally, after a hundred years of struggle, I finally had all that I needed. And it was then that I realized my folly. The greater powers had allowed me to gain this strength, because they knew it was pointless. I had all the power I needed; but I'd run out of time. I was going to die."

"When I finally realized this, I sank into the greatest pit of despair. Truly this was the ultimate unfairness. I raged aginst the powers cruel judgement to no avail. At the end, I thought that I'd wasted my life."

"But then, a voice called out to me. I couldn't see where it was coming from, but it offered me something I couldn't refuse. Something I had to have, no matter what the price eventually came to be."

More time.

"I found myself transformed, returned to my youth, with all the power I'd gathered. The greater powers feared my vengeance, but I didn't care about them. I had time now, and I wasn't going to waste a second of it. Now I'll finally get to do whatever I want to do, whenever I want to, and however I want to do it. And if anyone gets in my way...hehehe, who am I kidding? No one can stand in my way."

If I had only a few days to live I'd buy a machine gun and a chainsaw, and then I'd...well, let's just leave it at that.
